Until now, the emphasis of your training has been you and your buddy; The Rescue Diver program teaches you to make diving safer and more enjoyable for others as well. You’ve completed the entry-level and advanced training, logging quite a few dives in the process. The Rescue Diver program develops your knowledge and skills so you can effectively perform diver assists and rescues, manage diving accident situations and render first aid.

This serious but fun course usually take about 3 to 4 days to be completed and it is divided into THREE sections:

Knowledge development

  • Independent Study through online eLearning

  • Read/Review 5 Chapters

  • Answer knowledge review questions for each chapter

  • Review missed questions

  • Interact with your instructor online (if needed)

  • Formulate an Emergency Assistance Plan

  • Successfully complete the Rescue Diver final exam

IMPORTANT: ALL eLearning modules must be completed

prior to arriving in Pulau Perhentian to proceed for in-water

training!

course prerequisites

Minimum age: 12 year old

*12 year olds will earn PADI Junior Rescue Diver certification.

Prerequisite certification: PADI (Junior) Advanced Open Water Diver or (Junior) Adventure Diver who had completed the Navigation Advanture Dive.

EFR Primary and Secondary Care Training within 12 months.

*Can be completed along with the Rescue Diver course.

Medical Fitness: Be able to answer NO to all medical questionnaires on the PADI Medical Statement. If there is a YES, must get approval from a licensed physician before any inwater training.
